Mt. Hoffman lies in the geographic center of Yosemite National Park. One fall evening in 2002, I carried the camera to the top of this peak. This is a truly outstanding summit with extensive views into the Yosemite Wilderness Backcountry. As I waited, the evening colors became vivid and intense. This ridge faces southeast, and offers a seldom seen perspective of the Tuolumne domes and Sierra crest. Photo © copyright by Michael Ambrose.
