On a spring afternoon in April the forecasted high in Yosemite was about 65º degrees. Much to my surprise a very localized weather system rolled into the Valley and began to snow. After a long cold wait something magical began to happen. The clouds were settling onto the floor of the Valley... I was watching the strongest image I had ever seen unfold before my eyes. The light was failing fast as I counted down a sixty second exposure out loud. By the end of the exposure, it was so much darker that I decided to add some time and I was able to make this very satisfying and dramatic image - my signature piece. Metal Prints
The Photograph is developed onto a thin sheet of aluminum using a process called Dye Sublimation. This fantastic process yields a rich glossy print that is incredibly resistant to scratching, and cleanable using normal glass cleaner. The piece appears to "float" on the wall thanks to a subframe. Beautiful, rich and durable, these are the most popular presentation for my larger pieces. Available in sizes up to 8 feet on the long edge.
