Rovinj was the most wonderful and unexpected surprise of my European trip. I arrived on a bus after dark and had no idea what to expect. The next morning I awoke to one of the most magical and charming places imaginable. White cobbled streets wound past 17th century buildings that suddenly emerged to an overlook of the limpid blue Adriatic. It was breathtaking to say the least, and I will be returning.
