Dawn over Lake Tahoe
Sierra Crest, Lake Tahoe
I recently walked up the Sierra crest above the west shore of Tahoe. I've been trying to find a "reasonable way up" but sheesh it's just not an easy place to get to! I spent the night in a little pocket just below the summit of Peak 9268 and was rewarded with this lovely sunrise. I'm not done with this area, and will return this week and make a photograph a little farther south - hopefully with a sky full of clouds. Photo © copyright by Michael Ambrose.
Metal Prints
The Photograph is developed onto a thin sheet of aluminum using a process called Dye Sublimation. This fantastic process yields a rich glossy print that is incredibly resistant to scratching, and cleanable using normal glass cleaner. The piece appears to "float" on the wall thanks to a subframe. Beautiful, rich and durable, these are the most popular presentation for my larger pieces. Available in sizes up to 8 feet on the long edge.
